Terms of service

These terms are between you and [Your company or legal name] (“we”). By using Shipspec you agree to them. If you use it for a company, you confirm you can agree on its behalf.

Shipspec asks you questions about an app idea and uses AI to write a plan and files for AI coding tools. It’s also available as an MCP server you can connect to your own AI.

Plans and files are generated by AI models. They can be wrong, incomplete or out of date, and anything marked “to verify” has not been checked. Legal pages Shipspec drafts for your app are starting points, not legal advice. You are responsible for reviewing what you build and launch.

You keep all rights to the ideas and answers you provide and to the plans and files generated for you. You give us permission to process them only to provide the service, as described in our privacy policy.

• Don’t use Shipspec for anything illegal or harmful.
• Don’t try to get around usage limits, for example with multiple accounts or automated requests.
• Don’t resell access to the service or overload it.
• Don’t try to break into accounts or systems that aren’t yours.

We may suspend accounts that break these rules.

The free plan includes a limited number of plans each month. Pro is a subscription billed by Dodo Payments, our merchant of record, and renews until you cancel. You can cancel any time from your account; refunds follow our refund policy. We may change prices with notice before your next renewal.

We work to keep Shipspec running and accurate, but we provide it “as is” without guarantees that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, and our total liability is limited to [the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim].

You can stop using Shipspec and delete your account at any time. We may end or change the service with reasonable notice.
